Rosemary & Sage Candle

These are hand poured, 100% soy* candles that are scented using fragrances that are phthalate free and do not contain any materials listed in California’s prop 95 list (carcinogens)   * Did you know that candle companies can claim to use 100% soy, but often blend them with paraffin??

How to Use:

• During the first burn, make sure to allow the candle to melt to the edges of the candle. Failure to do so can result in tunneling, poor scent throw, and poor burn times.
• Make sure your wick is trimmed to about 1/4" inch before each burn.
• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time
• Do not leave candle unattended while burning and keep away from drafts and flammable items.
• Discontinue use when only 1/4" of wax remains.

A note from Wildly Rooted

While doing research hoping to create one of the cleanest candles lines on the market, I came across several articles that caused me to rethink candles entirely.  While it was no surprise that synthetic fragrances are full of endocrine disrupters (chemicals that act like estrogen in the body), VOC's, formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals, I was surprised that the fuel used (soy, paraffin, palm, etc.) all had similar output profiles.  To summarize, synthetic fragrances are definitely something you wan't to avoid brining into your home and candles scented with essential oils and low toxin chemicals will always be the better choice. However, if you're a purist when it comes to clean, non-toxic products in your home, the research says to skip the candles completely. I always suggest for everyone to do their own research and make their own informed decisions for themselves and their families.
